Annual Parent & Student Rights Notification and Standards of Behavior Handbook

This annual handbook outlines important rights, responsibilities, and expectations for students and families. It includes required legal notifications, district policies, and behavior standards that apply to all students. Topics covered include attendance, discipline, non-discrimination policies, privacy rights, health and safety regulations, and procedures for resolving concerns. New Nicholas Uniform Dress Code Policy for the 2025–2026 School Year

Dear Students and Families,

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we want to inform you of an important update regarding
our school uniform dress code policy, which will go into effect at the start of the 2025–2026
academic year. The purpose of a uniform policy for our site is to keep students focused on school as
a place for learning, remove peer pressure, reduce distractions and promote school spirit. We want to
promote a positive learning environment and ensure the safety of all students, the following dress
code will be implemented:

Tops  
Shirts

Solid-colored polo shirts or school-branded t-shirts only. Navy, Black or Gray. 

Sweatshirts Solid Colored sweaters, sweatshirts, or jackets in Navy, Black or Gray.

 

Bottoms  
Pants Jeans, black pants, or khaki
Skorts/Skirts NO ripped or torn jeans or sagging bottoms.

 

Footwear  
Shoes
  • For safety reasons, Crocs, slides, and open-toed shoes are not allowed.
  • Students must wear closed-toe shoes at all times.

 

Religious Accommodations
  • Students are permitted to wear appropriate religious attire.
  • We encourage students to wear NAVY, BLACK, or GRAY.
