To provide a safe environment and challenging curriculum which
will enable all students to become independent life-long learners
and responsible citizens.
Nicholas Elementary has high expectations for students. Teachers
work as a team to encourage students to be independent learners
and use a variety of small group methods to develop
problem-solving skills, cooperation, and higher-level thinking
skills. Teacher use the GLAD method of teacher to get students to
work together. The staff works closely with parents and other
community members to be responsive to the needs of students and

Founded in 1958 Nicholas Elementary has a population of about 675
students. Pre-school and K-6th grades25 Teacher. A school
Psychologist. A social Worker. RSP Teacher. Title 1 and Biligual
Teacher. LH and Special Ed Teacher. ASES is our after school
prgram.
To report/clear an absence the form below should be completed by
a student’s parent or guardian.
Office staff will call to verify as necessary.

absent. If the student will be out more than 3 days
please request Independent Study information from office
staff.
